I am so excited that this year I have the opportunity to run and raise money for the Lead the Way Fund, which was started as a way to honor Jimmy’s memory and continue his tradition of service.
Running the NYC marathon was one of Jimmy’s life time goals, I promised him that if he did not come home to run the marathon I would do it for him, a promise I never imagined I would have to keep. In 2007 I crossed the NYC marathon finish line in a little over five hours knowing that I could not have done it without him at my side every step of the way. This year 25 runners will be raising money and I am honored to be part of the pack. Lead The Way Fund, Inc. raises funds in support of families of U.S. Army Rangers who have died, have been disabled or who are currently serving in harm's way around the world.
